  TGIFriday's is a chain restaurant, so you likely know what you're getting already. I hadn't been in a year or two but my most recent visit didn't impress me. The restaurant was fairly empty, although we ate mid-afternoon so that's not unusual. The waitstaff was slow to show up once we were seated and refill drinks. The quality of the food was not exceptional in the past either, but it seems to have gone down. The burger I ordered was small enough to be nearing 'slider' status and the paper envelope of fries that was served with it reminded me of a kid's meal at McDonald's, which would have been much cheaper. Great place if you know you like the food and atmosphere, but if you're just shopping around for someplace to eat I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

  Arrived on a Saturday at 11:30pm and asked for a table for one. Since there was a 20 minute wait, I made the mistake of sitting at the bar. There, I got prompt service for a drink (water) and waited 15-20 minutes to have my intended food order taken. Perhaps it was my mistake eating barside, but the service was slow (unless you're drinking alcohol, evidentially) and it was filled with cigarette and vape smoke. I'm sitting bar side as I write this waiting for my order to come out and my eyes are burning. Very disappointed in the slowness of taking my order after asking for water only and not alcohol. This tells me that the bartenders primary concern are tips from alcohol drinkers, which would be more understandable if it didn't take one minute to take my order, which I already knew when I walked in the door. I don't think I'll be revisiting TGIF, at least not barside, and can see now why the reviews are so poor. We can do better, Clear Lake - next time, I'll try Yard house or BJs for a late night, weekend meal.
  
  EDIT: The food was good but my steak was cooked to medium rare when I asked for medium well. I didn't bring this up to the bartender as I was just hungry and reheated steaks are always dried out. l suspect this is an error on the bartenders part entering it into the Point Of Sale incorrectly, not the cooks.
